Background
This 55 m² apartment in central Gothenburg was redesigned to maximise light and movement. We developed two layout options to improve the flow between the living area and kitchen and to add storage and a compact workspace. No structural changes were made.
What we changed
We simplified circulation, added built-in storage, and placed a small desk where daylight is even. A restrained palette of pale oak, linen, and soft neutrals links the rooms. Lighting is layered for comfort and clarity.
Result
The home feels larger, calmer, and easier to use. Cooking, seating, and working each have a clear place. Surfaces stay tidy and light moves through the plan.
